Accessing the Program Inbox
When logging in to textout.app by phone, the User will be taken straight to a Program list view for the Workspace. All Programs with replies waiting will show. Click the Program name to get to the Inbox.
Once inside the Program Inbox, click on a Contact name to view the conversation.
Replying to Texts
There are two ways to reply to a text:
- Compose a reply: When not using a Recommended Reply, click the pencil button at the bottom left of the screen to compose one from scratch.
A text window will pop up. Enter text in the window and click the “Send” button on the right.
To cancel without sending a message, click the “X” icon on the left.
Select a script filter button to filter results or select “All Recommended Replies.”
Search or scroll to find an appropriate Recommended Reply and click it. Then the text will appear in a text box under your conversation.
Click the “Send” button on the right to send the message, or click the “X” icon on the left to cancel.
Capturing Free Form Data
Occasionally, the User will be asked to capture data from the Contact the User is texting. To save free-form data, click the check box icon below the conversation.
Data boxes will show up, and the User can store data as necessary. Changes will save automatically.
At the top of the conversation screen, there are three buttons visible to the User:
- Reassign a Conversation
Flagging a message
The flag button at the top left allows the User to Flag a conversation to easily find and reaccess it if the conversation requires follow-up. Flags are only visible to the User, not to the Contact being texted.
Complete a message
Complete a conversation by clicking the “check” mark in the top middle row.
NOTE: Complete messages are not visible in the Inbox on mobile. To see them, go to the Completed section of the Program in the desktop version of TextOut.
Reassign a message
The arrow button on the top right of the conversation screen allows Texters to Reassign conversations if needed.
